When the garage door opens the top of the door will be above the track. 7 31 secure the angle iron to the ceiling with 3 lag screws. Use the holes in the vertical track to determine where to drill the hole. When stacking door sections in mounting position on door opening temporarily hold sections to jamb using 8 x 3 5 wood screws or nails not provided.

In the past extension springs were safer to install but didn t have containment cables running through the center of the spring. The installation process varies by manufacturer so read the instructions provided with the garage door. This second track is installed above the horizontal section that is attached to the curve from the vertical track section. High lift equals distance from top of door to bottom of horizontal track.

Install the weatherstripping onto the bottom edge of the bottom door panel. Place the screw through the end stile and fasten into the door jamb until the section is held vertical but still has a little play in the horizontal direction. 7 32 connect the hangs to secure the horizontal track. Often referred to as dual track it is best recognized by a second horizontal track.

Ideally the horizontal track will be supported at about six inches from the end of the track.
